Laurencie Brunel

Laurencie graduated from the University of Nantes, France in 2006. She then completed a rotational internship at the University of Maison-Alfort in Paris, followed by a surgical internship at the University of Lyon. In 2008, she moved to Belgium where she completed a residency in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Liège. In 2010, she obtained a Master Degree in Veterinary Sciences. In February 2013, she was admitted as a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons.

In January 2014, she moved to Sydney and started working at the UVTHS where she enjoys being involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate surgical training. Her clinical interests include endoscopic surgery and interventional radiology, cardio-thoracic and urogenital surgery. Her research projects focus on the role and management of the anterior mitral leaflet at prosthetic mitral valve insertion in an ovine model.
