Michael Cannon is a well-known Australian avian veterinarian who has had tremendous experience over the past 32 years working with pet birds in private practice and in aviculture as well as wildlife parks and zoos. He is currently a partner in the Cannon and Ball Veterinary Clinic in Wollongong which services a wide variety of animals, covering dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, fish and invertebrates. Michael has held many important positions within the avicultural/bird industry and is a fine educator, having delivered lectures and seminars on avian and exotic pet topics to veterinarians nationally and internationally. Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney in 1976. He was awarded Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in the Chapter of Avian Health in 1984. He received his Graduate Diploma in Education from University of Technology Sydney in 1991.
