Salmonella - cast it out!

Outbreaks of salmonella can be challenging and stressful to deal with.

Additionally the pathogen can become endemic on farm, occurring in cows and calves year after year. This podcast will cover key steps to approaching the outbreak in calves and milking herds as well as briefly discuss Salmonella in other ruminants.

Zoe graduated from the University of Sydney in 2000 and has worked in dairy practice ever since. She joined the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists through examination in Epidemiology and Medicine of Dairy Cattle. Zoe has a special interest in calf health, milk quality and farmer and veterinary education. Zoe is also a trainer for the Countdown Adviser Shortcourse, farmer Cups on Cups off courses and farmer calf health workshops.
