Wesley Cheung
After graduating from the University of Sydney, Wesley started his career in small animal general practice. He later underwent an internship in emergency and critical care at the Animal Referral Hospital in Sydney, after which he continued to work as an emergency veterinarian. During this time, he also volunteered at the Animal Welfare League and with other outreach programs in New South Wales. Following his passion for shelter medicine, he completed a specialty internship under Cornell’s Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Program. Today, he continues to serve as a shelter veterinarian at Toronto Humane Society. His interest is in evidence-based emergency medicine in shelters and other resource-limited settings.
