Peter Bennett
BVSc FANZCVS (Canine Medicine) DACVIM (Oncology, Small Animal Medicine)
Peter Bennett is a graduate of the University of Melbourne. After spending some time in general practice he undertook training in small animal medicine, and then Oncology in programs across New Zealand and the USA. He obtained Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College and Diplomate status from ACVIM. Peter returned to Australia in 2001 and joined the staff at the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre. Late in 2012 Peter moved to Sydney and joined the staff at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Sydney where he is establishing a Comparative Oncology program. Peter is currently an Associate Professor in Veterinary Oncology and Small Animal Medicine in the Sydney School of Veterinary Science. Peter has been a tutor in medical oncology since 2013 and through this and invited talks, been continually active in providing CPD in Australasia. Promoting best practice and compassionate cancer care for dogs and cats is a key focus.
