Lisa graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2000 and went on to work in mixed animal practice in Tasmania, Victoria and England working with companion animals, horses, sheepand cattle. She has undertaken research in equine biomechanics, equine sports medicine, equine and ruminant parasites, and prevention of ruminant diseases.
Lisa completed the IVAS acupuncture course in 2015, in an effort to learn an additional modality to apply to helping performance horses recover from injuries in a faster time frame, as well as applying the techniques to assist horses presenting with more subtle signs of lameness. More recently Lisa has worked in university and private equine practices with a sports medicine focus, utilising acupuncture alongside standard veterinary medicine approaches for managing a range of conditions in performance and pleasure horses. Lisa is based in the Adelaide region and sees first opinion and referral cases for predominantly musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
