Animal Forensics: Crime Scene Processing TimeOnline

Vets can make a critical impact in the justice system.

As animal cruelty laws tighten and public awareness increases, the legal system is adapting, with stringent prosecutions reflecting the severity of offenses once dismissed. Vets are now at the forefront of animal welfare and legal proceedings, expected to provide thorough crime scene investigations and meticulous evidence management that aligns with human forensic standards.

Expertly guided by Dr. Jason H. Byrd and Susan Underkoffler, this online course offers a foundational understanding of animal crime scene processing, equipping veterinarians with the necessary procedures and protocols to handle and investigate a variety of scenarios. While rooted in the principles of human forensic science, the course places a spotlight on animal-specific considerations, ensuring participants are well-versed in the nuances of animal forensics.

Join us to develop a critical skillset that bridges the gap between veterinary knowledge and the judicial expectations of animal crime scene analysis, contributing to a higher standard of justice for animals.

Delivered in partnership with The University of Florida, the Animal Forensics: Crime Scene Processing TimeOnline course is an essential resource for veterinarians, law enforcement, legal professionals, and animal welfare advocates seeking to deepen their expertise in animal crime scene investigation and contribute to the advancement of justice in animal cruelty cases.
