The Use of C-reactive Protein in Clinical Cases WebinarPLUS

C-reactive protein (CRP) is a type of acute-phase protein that rises when there is inflammation in the body. It can be used as a surrogate marker for neoplasia, infection, immune-mediated and inflammatory disease. While it should be part of the armamentarium in diagnosis and monitoring of diseases because it is a non-specific marker it should not be independently relied on. This webinar will explore what CRP is, where it comes from, and how it can be utilised in clinical practice; including discussing limitations.
