VPOCUS: Practical Applications for GPs Distance Education

VPOCUS: Practical Applications for GPs Distance Education

Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) helps us make better clinical decisions, faster. In human patients, diagnostic confidence increases in 89.2 % when general practitioners add bedside POCUS to patient evaluation! By asking clinically relevant, often binary yes/no response questions, veterinary POCUS (VPOCUS) can be rapidly and efficiently learned and applied by anyone in any setting.

Expertly delivered by Dr. Serge Chalhoub, an internist, and Dr. Soren Boysen, a criticalist, blends diverse professional insights with a shared, engaging sense of humor. This course is designed to familiarise participants with the essential criteria for conducting a Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) examination. It provides a comprehensive overview of key protocols for abdominal, pleural, lung, vascular, and cardiac imaging. More specifically, it succinctly covers over 30 clinically-driven questions in these areas, demonstrating how each can be effectively addressed in 5 minutes or less, without compromising patient safety. This unique offering is a blend of expertise, practicality, and accessibility.

This Distance Education (DE) course builds on the success of the 'POCUS in Cats: Rapid Cage Side Scanning WebinarPLUS' and continues to be expertly delivered by the same distinguished tutors. With their proven expertise, participants can expect a comprehensive, practical, and engaging learning experience—one that has already received outstanding feedback from previous attendees.:

So practical for everyday general practice. I am so much more confident with POCUS now.
Clare a'Beckett

Thanks for the engaging material in this course. I found it helpful and practical and have already used it in my daily practice.  The structure of the course meant that I could participate in bite sized chunks, so I didn't get information overload, and I was able to go back and easily review areas that I didn't click with the first time around.  The presenters were engaging and funny, and the way in which the material was presented was easy to understand and stuck with me well! Thanks guys!!
Kimberley Earl

If I could grade the presenters higher I would! The lectures were engaging, informative, practical & fun to watch. They made complex concepts understandable. I cannot recommend them more highly. If you get a chance to attend any of their lectures Do!
