Scoping it Out: An Intro to Gastroduodenoscopy WebinarPLUS
In the 21st century, our patients should have better welfare than ever thanks to advances in veterinary medicine: our knowledge of disease, new and improved diagnostic tests, advanced imaging modalities and targeted treatments.
Most small animal practices have an endoscope. But if you’re not scoping regularly, it’s hard to develop your approach and refine your technique – leading to frustration, equipment left unused on a shelf or even worse, iatrogenic complications.
Gastroduodenoscopy in cats and dogs has a wealth of applications – recurrent vomiting or small intestinal diarrhoea, unexplained weight loss, haematemesis and investigation (and hopefully removal!) of oesophageal or gastric foreign bodies.
Your equipment choice is critical to success in using an endoscope (yes, you really can blame your tools!), as is approach to patient positioning and sedation.
Join Lara Boland as she covers gastroduodenoscopy 101 including tips and tricks, pitfalls, common disease indications and how to choose the best equipment for your needs.
