This course is designed to help veterinary surgeons develop the skills needed to confidently manage complex fractures.
You’ll learn how to assess and classify fractures, plan surgical approaches, and select appropriate fixation techniques and implants to optimise outcomes and reduce complications.
With a focus on practical application, the course covers how to choose the best surgical approach, balancing access with soft tissue preservation. You'll also explore strategies to prevent and manage common issues such as infections, non-unions, and implant failures, with guidance on early recognition and effective treatment.
Through case discussions and real-world examples, you’ll refine your problem-solving skills and gain insights into managing difficult fractures. By the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to tackle challenging cases in your practice.
