Masterclass in Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO)
This highly practical two-day Masterclass will be dedicated to understanding and performing TPLO surgery using radial cut and locking implants. Day 1 kicks off with intense theory, hands-on exercises and TPLO planning and templating. Day 2 will be dedicated entirely to Cadaver Surgery exercises. Significant time will also be allocated to assessment and critique of post-op x-rays in order to minimise surgical inaccuracies in the future.
Elevate your TPLO game with this cutting-edge, hands-on experience!
This workshop is delivered in partnership with Vet Co.

Learning Outcomes
By successfully completing this workshop, you will be able to:
- Describe the pathogenesis of cranial cruciate ligament disease and discuss the most common clinical signs associated with this condition.
- Compare and contrast the TPLO procedure with intracapsular and extracapsular repair techniques, in regard to procedural steps, post operative management and long-term outcomes.
- Describe the steps required for pre-operative planning for a TPLO procedure.
- Discuss the surgical equipment and implants required to perform a TPLO.
- Describe the most common complications associated with a TPLO procedure and to develop a systematic approach to reduce complication rates.
What is a Workshop?
Highly practical - develop the confidence to implement your new skills on your return to work.
Practical workshops are an ideal way to build confidence and competence in your skills, as you put theory into practice.
Ideally balanced combination of theoretical and hands-on education, our workshops allow participants to obtain the most benefit possible through practical application of the skills being taught. Small group teaching with a high tutor to participant ratio will ensure that you benefit from individual attention from your highly regarded and experienced tutor/s. Nothing beats on-the-spot feedback as you learn a new procedure.
Who should enrol?
This course is suitable for qualified veterinarians.
