Katherine Briscoe

Kath graduated from the University of Sydney in 2003, graduating with first class honours and the University Medal. Following 3 years in general practice, Kath undertook a rotating internship followed by a residency in Feline Medicine at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Sydney. Kath attained membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in feline medicine in 2008 and became a Fellow of the same College in 2012. During her residency, Kath completed a research project on the pathology of feline low grade alimentary lymphoma and inflammatory bowel disease. Kath has a keen interest in all aspects of canine and feline medicine, and is also passionate about providing continuing education for veterinary practitioners. After years working in University and private referral hospitals, Kath now works as a referral clinician in a general practice setting where she enjoys seeing a variety of both canine and feline cases. Kath also works for a private pathology company, providing case advice to practitioners on any aspect of small animal medicine. Kath maintains close ties with large private referral hospitals, doing locum work as often as she can.
