Tony Caiafa

Anthony graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree in 1978. He worked in companion animal practice for 17 years and obtained his membership level in Small Animal Surgery (1992) and Veterinary Dentistry (1993). He then returned to full time studies in 1995, to graduate with a Bachelor of Dental Science, dux of the year, in 1998, from the University of Melbourne.
Anthony currently works as a dentist on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland as well as in Veterinary Dental referral practice at North Coast Veterinary Specialists and Referral Centre, also on the Sunshine Coast.
He lectures to the undergraduate Veterinary Science students at James Cook University, Townsville; as well as lecturing and running workshops on all aspects of Veterinary Dentistry around the world. He is also a chapter author in two respected Veterinary Dental textbooks and published several peer reviewed journal articles.
Dental Pursuits
Anthony worked as a general dentist in Victoria from 1998 till 2008, after which my wife and I moved up to the Sunshine Coast.
Anthony did 12 months’ work for Dental Health Services Victoria in the area of school dentistry in 2000.
Anthony owned a general dental practice in Acland Street in St. Kilda, Victoria from 2001-2008.
Post graduate training in Dental implantology (surgical and prosthetic course) ITI Straumann, Port Melbourne, Victoria (2006)
Anthony has worked for the past 10 years on the Sunshine Coast as a general dentist.
