Maya graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil with a Bachelor degree in Veterinary Science in 2010. She also did a specialisation in Small animal Medical and Surgical clinic by Qualittas Institute in 2012. In Brazil, she had her own 24h practice for 3 years, before moving to Australia in 2013. Since Australia became her home she had worked as a senior GP, emergency and internal medicine nurse at different specialist centres. In 2019 she came across canine physiotherapy and fell in love for the field. Maya decided to go back to study and is now finishing her CCRP (canine certified rehabilitation practitioner).
