Anna Dengate
BMedSc BVSc FANZCVS Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist
Anna is a small animal internal medicine specialist, with a love of the holistic human - social - animal - environmental interface that general practice provides. Her “why” is to support the local veterinary community, human and animal, to help facilitate the vital work you all do. Dr Dengate does this by providing ultrasound and medical recommendations, keeping pets and clients in their local clinic comfort zones through her business The Vet’s North.
Between 1998 and 2021, Anna did pretty much every role in the veterinary industry, from volunteer kennel attendant to small animal internal medicine specialist and practice owner. In 2022 she started a specialist consultancy called The Vet’s North, now working with 65 clinics in Australia. In 2024 she founded a charity with the goals to provide people with disabilities access to the healing power of dogs and improve diversity in the veterinary industry.
She also LOVES teaching! Always happy to explain the who, why, how and what to interested colleagues at every level.
