Mary Thompson
BVSc(Hons) PhD DACVIM MANZCVS FHEA
Mary graduated from the University of Sydney and worked in small animal practice in Sydney before completing a rotating internship and residency in small animal internal medicine at Washington State and Purdue universities. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Mary has spent the last 20 years working in clinical academic roles at Australian universities; The University of Queensland, where she completed her PhD, Murdoch University, where she was Academic Chair of the DVM program, and currently as an Associate Professor in Small Animal Medicine at The University of Sydney. Her major area of clinical and research interest is bacterial urinary tract infection in dogs and cats, and she greatly enjoys working with junior veterinary colleagues during their studies.
