Anaesthesia & Analgesia: Compromised Patients Distance Education

Are you ready to elevate your anaesthesia expertise and confidently manage patients with complex comorbidities and emergency conditions?

Our advanced course is meticulously designed for professionals like you, aiming to refine your skills in tailoring anaesthetic care for high-risk patients.

The course aims to provide you with a deep dive into the nuances of administering anaesthesia to patients with comorbidities such as renal and cardiac impairments, diabetes, and those requiring urgent surgical interventions.

Engage in interactive scenarios that challenge you to develop individualized protocols, minimizing complications and enhancing patient outcomes and learn from seasoned anaesthetists with extensive experience in managing complex cases, ensuring you receive practical and up-to-date knowledge.

Prerequisite: participants are assumed to have spent at least 2 years in clinical practice and have a sound knowledge of foundational principles in anaesthesia, such as those covered in the ‘Anaesthesia & Analgesia: Fundamentals’ course.

This course is the second in our Aneasthesia and Analgesia program and looks to expand your understanding of and ability to deal with the complications associated with compromised patient. The Fundamentals course aims to develop and update your understanding of the principles underpinning anaesthetic care. Finally, the program takes a deep dive into the special considerations needed when confronted with rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds and reptiles.
