Dentistry has become an increasingly essential aspect of companion animal care.
Elevate your veterinary skills with our focused 2-day Surgical Dentistry for Cats & Dogs Workshop. This is your opportunity to be mentored by leaders in the field and be individually guided on techniques and tips that will make your life much easier – and improve your clinical outcomes! Tony Caiafa is recognised as a leader with a capacity to empower vets with the skills they need in daily practice; he will be assisted by Kayo Kuroda, equally a passionate educator.
Beyond just surgical extractions, the canine workshop addresses what to do when complications occur (fractured a root lately, anyone?), the management of Odontogenic tumours and cysts, as well as pain relief and radiographic interpretation are all covered.
And because cats are not just small dogs – particularly when it comes to dental disease – a whole day will be devoted to feline dentistry. Extraction techniques, gingivostomatitis (including full quadrant extractions), root resorption (crown amputation application and technique) and management of jaw fractures will all feature.
Don't let the complexities of dental surgeries be a source of anxiety in your practice. Our 2-day workshop is vital for any veterinarian looking to equip themselves to handle dental cases with confidence and improve patient outcomes in companion animal practice.

What is a Workshop?
Highly practical - develop the confidence to implement your new skills on your return to work.
Practical workshops are an ideal way to build confidence and competence in your skills, as you put theory into practice.
Ideally balanced combination of theoretical and hands-on education, our workshops allow participants to obtain the most benefit possible through practical application of the skills being taught. Small group teaching with a high tutor to participant ratio will ensure that you benefit from individual attention from your highly regarded and experienced tutor/s. Nothing beats on-the-spot feedback as you learn a new procedure.
Who should enrol?
This course is suitable for qualified veterinarians.
